Oman Showcases Marble and Natural Stone Products at Marmomac 2026 in Italy
Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the 60th edition of Marmomac, the International Exhibition of Stone, Design and Stone Industry Technology, which begins next Tuesday in Verona, Italy.
Marmomac is a major international platform covering the natural stone value chain, from extraction and processing to manufacturing technologies, machinery, tools and applications in architecture and design.
Eng. Dawood bin Salem Al Hadabi, CEO of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) and Head of the Omani Products Promotion Committee (OPEX) supervisory team, said Oman’s participation in this year’s exhibition features an expanded presence, including a larger pavilion and a greater number of participating Omani companies.
He noted that the expanded pavilion will provide participating companies with greater opportunities to showcase their products and build commercial relationships with investors, buyers and specialists in the marble and natural stone sector from around the world.
Al Hadabi said this year’s participation also marks a new step in empowering Omani small and medium enterprises. For the first time, the design and construction of the Omani pavilion has been assigned to a local company registered with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada) and managed by Omanis.
He explained that the move supports national businesses, increases local added value and highlights the capabilities of Omani companies in delivering projects for international events.
The exhibition provides Omani companies with opportunities to present their products to a specialised international audience, learn about developments in stone extraction, processing and design technologies, and explore export, partnership and investment opportunities.
Al Hadabi stressed that expanding Oman’s participation in Marmomac aligns with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, particularly economic diversification, strengthening the role of the private sector, developing non-oil exports, empowering SMEs and transforming natural resources into value-added products capable of competing in global markets.
Oman’s participation forms part of the 2026 programme of the OPEX supervisory team, represented by Madayn, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada).
Through its international participation, the team seeks to diversify marketing channels for Omani products, support national companies and factories in entering new markets, introduce them to modern trade and export practices, and facilitate direct connections with international partners and investors.
Marmomac 2026 also features a programme combining business, technology, architecture, design and culture, alongside training sessions, specialised events and exhibitions.
