Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry today launched the second phase of the Business Franchise Program to educate business owners, male and female, and qualify and develop Omani companies to benefit from the advantages and opportunities of business franchising, which enhances the private sector’s leadership of a competitive economy linked to the global economy.
The program launch ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, Minister of Finance.
This stage consists of providing special consultations in the field of commercial franchising for the six companies selected from the first stage, whereby the qualification of these Omani companies to become commercial franchisors will be completed or enable them to access the companies granting the commercial franchise, and pave the way and strengthen the basics of the corporate entity that will allow the establishment of specialized companies that combine the grantor the trademark is granted and the work mechanism between the parties is organized according to the best experiences in the field of commercial franchising.
Eng. Hamoud bin Salem Al-Saadi, Second Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and head of the Business Franchise Program Initiative, said that the Chamber is working through the program and in cooperation with its partners to enhance the culture of business excellence in various groups interested in entrepreneurship and developing commercial projects, based on what the business franchise represents. He added that the first phase of the program witnessed a wide turnout, as the number of participants exceeded 311 participants, during which 55 consultations were provided and 38 field visits were conducted, while the second phase of the program focuses on providing special consultations and preparing a special commercial franchise guide for the six companies selected from the first phase, which is the “Imprint” Foundation.
