Muscat: The final match of His Majesty the Sultan’s Football Cup for the 2022/2023 sports season will be held tomorrow, which brings together Al-Seeb and Al-Nahda clubs at 7:30 pm at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher under the auspices of His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Al-Seeb is seeking the second successive crown in the competition and the fifth title in its history, after winning 4 previous editions in the years 1996, 1997, 1998 and 2022, while Al-Nahda Club is looking for its first title and breaking the knot after reaching the final four times previously.
Al-Nahda club coach Hamad Al-Azani said in the press conference held today: “The journey to reach the final was difficult, and we have a possible opportunity to achieve the title, and our attempt will be bold, and I have full confidence in the players, and it is an opportunity for us to break the knot after reaching the final for the fourth time.”
