    Oman Affirms Support for Somalia’s Unity and Territorial Integrity

    Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is closely following developments related to the unity and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

    In a statement issued today by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Sultanate of Oman affirmed its firm support for Somalia’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity. The statement stressed the importance of respecting the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and of refraining from any unilateral actions that may undermine the unity of states or their internationally recognised sovereignty.

    The Sultanate of Oman also reiterated its keenness to support efforts that promote stability, dialogue and peaceful solutions, in a manner that serves the interests of the Somali people and contributes to security and stability in the region.
