    National Day Endurance Cup Concludes in Barka

    Barka: The National Day Endurance Cup competitions for the local 100-kilometre distance for the 2025/2026 season concluded today in the Wilayat of Barka. The event was organized by the Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation.

    The competition was held under the patronage of His Excellency Azzan bin Qasim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, and attended by Munther bin Saif Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation.

    The endurance race, which consisted of three stages, witnessed the crowning of “Haboub Muscat” with the gold medal and first place. The winning horse is owned by Hala Al Turki, ridden by Mahmoud bin Saeed Al Saidi, and trained by Hamad bin Saeed Al Saidi.

    The silver medal and second place were claimed by “Sable Lander Rest”, owned by Munther bin Taghlib Al Barwani, ridden by Hood bin Ghaleb Al Fouri, and trained by Saleh bin Salem Al Balushi.

    Meanwhile, the bronze medal and third place went to “Fayjab”, owned by Al Sultana Stud, ridden by Khalid bin Abdul Rahman Al Zadjali, and trained by Muhannad bin Ibrahim Al Balushi.

    The race also witnessed the qualification of a number of horses for endurance distances of 40 kilometres and 80 kilometres, reflecting the strong technical standards and competitive spirit of the participating stables.

    At the conclusion of the event, the winners were crowned, and appreciation was extended to those who contributed to the success of the race, including organizing teams, track officials, and sponsoring companies.
