Musandam Municipality Continues Efforts to Control ‘Aedes Mosquito’

Madha: The Musandam Municipality in the Wilayat of Madha in the Musandam Governorate continues its campaign to combat the Aedes mosquito, in cooperation with the Directorate General of Health Services in the governorate, and included a number of targeted residential areas and neighborhoods.

The Musandam Municipality has taken proactive measures to combat the spread of the Aedes mosquito and prevent the spread of diseases it transmits by forming a specialized team from the Municipal Preventive Health Department and the field survey team of the Ministry of Health to eliminate the presence of the Aedes mosquito in several areas.

The municipality worked to raise public awareness of the dangers associated with the Aedes mosquito and the preventive measures that should be adopted through various media, as the municipality effectively disseminated information about the breeding habits of the Aedes mosquito, the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment, and ways to avoid its bites.

A number of measures have also been implemented, and an effective approach to combating the Aedes mosquito has been implemented, through the use of spraying machines, immediate removal of waste and the elimination of weed growth in the affected areas to ensure a clean environment.
