Oman’s Hajj Pilgrims begin arriving in Holy Land

Medina: Convoys of pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman began arriving in the Holy Land to perform the Hajj this year.

The arrival of the convoys coming by land to Medina has been completed, and the packing process has been completed according to the plans drawn up by the Omani Hajj Mission in cooperation with the Hajj companies, while the pilgrims arriving by air are still coming to Medina.

Abdulaziz bin Masoud Al-Ghafri, deputy head of the Omani Hajj mission, said in a statement to the Oman News Agency: The mission sent a team from it to Medina, which immediately upon its arrival provided its services to the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God who came to Medina, pointing out that the percentage of pilgrims of the Sultanate of Oman coming to Medina Al-Munawwarah accounts for about 60 percent of the total number of pilgrims, who numbered 14,000 pilgrims this year.

He added that a delegation from the Fatwa and Religious Guidance has begun to provide lessons and lectures to the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God in their places of residence, in addition to the delegation supervising the Hajj companies visiting the pilgrims and reassuring the extent of the commitment of the Hajj companies to provide services as stipulated in the contracts concluded between them and the pilgrims.

He pointed out that a team from the scout delegation continues to receive representatives of Hajj companies at the mission headquarters, take their data and direct them according to the services they desire, in addition to the medical delegation continuing to supervise the health status of the pilgrims. He explained that the Saudi authorities always and continuously stand on the readiness of the facilities and on the operational plan to receive the guests of Rahman coming to perform the rituals of Hajj, praising the facilities they provide to Omani pilgrims and pilgrims in general, so that their journey is more facilitated. He stressed the need for the Hajj companies to take the initiative to inform the mission upon the arrival of the pilgrims at their residence in Medina or Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
