Quito: The equestrian team of the Sultan’s Armed Forces achieved a notable result at the 26th World Military Equestrian Championship, currently being hosted by the Republic of Ecuador.
Captain Mohammed Salim Al Hadhrami of Royal Court Affairs secured sixth place overall after completing a clear round in a time of 38.17 seconds aboard his horse “Caylos”.
The championship brought together 54 riders representing 18 countries from around the world.
Participation in such events forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance the Sultanate of Oman’s presence in international military sports competitions, raise the standard of military athletic performance and strengthen the role of national teams in regional and international championships.
The participation also contributes to developing the technical and physical capabilities of riders and trainers and supports the continued advancement of military sports in the Sultanate of Oman.
