413,122 visitors to Khareef Dhofar by end of July 2024
Muscat: The number of visitors to the Dhofar Khareef since the beginning of the season until July 31, 2024, reached about 413,122 visitors, an increase of 4.3 percent compared to the same period in 2023, when the number reached 396,108 visitors, according to the initial estimates of the number of visitors to the Dhofar Khareef 2024 issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
Estimated statistics showed that the number of Omani visitors increased by 3 percent, recording 305,070 visitors, while the number of visitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries reached 66,998 visitors, up from 59,555 visitors during the same period in 2023, while the number of visitors from other nationalities reached 41,054 visitors, up from 40,418 visitors. 316,434 visitors came to Dhofar Governorate by the end of July 2024 via the land port, while 96,688 visitors came via air, recording an increase of 7 percent compared to those arriving via air by the end of July 2023.
It is worth noting that 95 percent of visitors to the Dhofar Khareef until the end of July 2024 came during the period from July 1 to July 31, while 5 percent came during the period from June 21 to 30, 2024.
