King Charles says ‘our humanity must remain sacred’ as AI debate grows

King Charles III will urge global AI leaders to ensure artificial intelligence remains under human control and serves humanity during a summit in Scotland on Thursday.

The conference will bring together representatives from Google DeepMind, OpenAI, Anthropic and Nvidia to discuss AI safety and international cooperation. As artificial intelligence evolves, “our humanity must remain sacred,” the king will stress.

The meeting comes amid growing calls from industry leaders and international organizations for stronger safeguards as AI technology advances.
